Schedule of Classes Training Now Available
Thursday, 01 October 2009

Training is already underway to help staff prepare for the Schedule of Classes build and will continue through December. In addition, ConnectCarolina Training will offer support sessions in which schedulers can receive help actually building their schedule of classes.

The content for each Schedule of Classes training session will include:

  • Introduction to ConnectCarolina
  • PeopleSoft Basics
  • Course Catalog
  • Single Section Classes
  • Multi-Section Classes
  • Multi-Component Classes
  • Combined Sections

Please visit the ConnectCarolina Current Schedule of Workshops and click on the workshop title to:

  • View its description and any prerequisites
  • Register online

Additionally, ConnectCarolina Training will offer Schedule of Classes help sessions that will include a representative from the Office of the University Registrar (OUR). These sessions are listed on the ConnectCarolina Current Schedule of Workshops, and will be offered 9:00-12:00 or 1:30-4:30 at the same location and on the same day as the workshop listed above, with the exception of workshops that are scheduled on Fridays. Schedulers are encouraged to register for these Help Sessions and then drop-in anytime during the session for assistance in entering schedules of classes in PeopleSoft. Help Sessions that have no registrations are subject to cancellation.

Note that online training sessions for both FERPA and Introduction to PeopleSoft are required prior to attending the workshop listed above. Information for how to access these online sessions is available in the workshop description. These sessions take approximately 30 minutes each. The OUR requires FERPA training prior to receiving access to the ConnectCarolina environment.

Registration for training is handled through an initial invitation. Invitees are able to select the session that is most convenient for them. Sessions will be offered twice a week with one offered in the morning (9:00 to noon) and one in the afternoon (1:30 to 4:30). All sessions will be scheduled in the Porthole Training Facility.
