Overview

The ConnectCarolina project is:

  • The largest non capital-improvement project in the history of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
  • An integrated management system that increases the efficiency and effectiveness of business processes related to student services, human resources, payroll and finance

The ConnectCarolinaproject will:

  • Provide the University community with a powerful and fully integrated administrative infrastructure
  • Make interaction with the University easier for applicants, students, faculty and staff
  • Support all those who work and learn at UNC-Chapel Hill with an administrative system appropriate for one of the nation’s premier universities

ConnectCarolina is using Oracle’s PeopleSoft for Student Systems (admissions, financial aid, student records and student financials). PeopleSoft will also be used for the future implementation of HR and Finance modules.

Hundreds of individuals from across the University are working and/or advising on all phases of the project to ensure that the needs of the entire community are addressed.
